At Sarthaka Foundation, we genuinely believe that education is the only way out of the poverty-ridden world of neglect and deprivation. Through awareness, education, and skill development, we hope to give the marginalised younger generation a chance to grow up into confident and proud human beings beautifully.
Right to education is the basic need of humankind that can never be taken away.
Tuition fees are often one of the main reasons many youngsters quit school. It is more difficult for individuals who do not have an earning parent and yet want to continue with their education. We did not want monetary limitations to be the reason for them to say goodbye to the power of knowledge. Hence we created the SCE initiative. The program is specifically designed for children who lost their earning parents due to Covid-19 and 50% of scholarships are directed towards children who are dependent solely on their mother for financial assistance.
SCE is a program that ensures a deserving child never loses the right to education. Designed for children in 8th standard and above, the scholarship extends upto their graduation or until they are independent, thus helping them become proud and equal members of society. SCE's journey began with 108 students being awarded scholarships worth Rs. 13 lakh in 2018. In 2021 alone 432 students were awarded with Rs. 45 lakh worth of scholarship. As of 2022, over 600 students have benefitted from the SCE initiative, with scholarships accounting for over Rs. 1 Crore.

Bangalore winters can be harsh, especially for those with no shelter over their head or warmth to keep them safe. Young volunteers visit localities across the city and provide rugs to keep them warm and comfortable during cold winter nights. We truly understand that the satisfaction of helping them, even in the slightest way possible, is worth the effort.Active distribution of rugs for the needy has been continuing for 3 yrs with over 1500 rugs distributed till date
